We start with the details of digital:
The pros and cons of RAW and JPEG.
How to import and safely store your photos.
How to adjust colour temperature for different light sources.
Then get into camera basics:
So many buttons everywhere! Buttons on top, at the back and in front of the camera. What they do and why you need to know them.
The dials that you need to know backwards and inside out to capture amazing photographs easily.
On the lenses, in the view finder, everywhere is f this and f that. The crucial numbers to creating the photographs you imagined.
We look at how exposure works:
How to control the amount of light entering your lens.
Control how long the shutter stays open.
How to adjust the light sensitivity of the sensor.
And finish with the fundamentals of photography:
How to measure for the correct exposure.
How to focus to achieve sharp images.
An introduction to composing beautiful images.
What to bring: your own camera and blank memory card.
You will receive a workbook to help with note taking on the day and memory jogging in the days after.
